EPA AND DOE LAUNCH NETWORK TO HELP STATES INCREASE ENERGY EFFICIENCY PROGRESS
The U.S Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and theU.S. Department of Energy (DOE) recently launched the State Energy Efficiency (SEE) Action Network. Through this network, which was created to increase cost-effective energy efficiency improvements in homes, offices and buildings by 2020, the DOE, EPA, and other member organizations will assist states with their energy efficiency initiatives to help save money and protect the environment.
Working groups have also been created to help take on key issues including:
- Determining best practices and national protocols for residential program models
- Creating an idea exchange of financing solutions
- Finding innovative methods of evaluation, measurement, and verification
- Sharing new insights on the impact of information on customer decisions
